Bangle

A bangle is a stiff bracelet. Some bangles have a hinge; others are solid and have to be slipped over the hand. The bangle bracelet was originally called a bangle ring, although it was made to fit around the wrist. It resembles an enlarged ring and was called "bangle ring" because the wire was very narrow and resembled a wedding band.
