Henry Schreiner

New York jeweler Henry Schreiner opened his own company in 1951, after desgining some early pieces for Christian Dior in the late 1940s and early 50s. Schreiner's exuberant costume jewelry, worn by stars such as Marilyn Monroe, is characterized by its unconventional combinations of colors and paste stones, inverted rhinestones, and its use of high-quality diamanté and crystal. Full parures by Schreiner are rare and therefore highly collectible.
