Liberty

Arthur L. Liberty opened his first shop in London in 1875. From 1894 onward, he commissioned designs from talented jewelers, such as Archibald Knox, a leading figure of the Arts and Crafts Celtic Revival movement, and Jessie King. Liberty pieces are often made of hammered silver to create a handcrafted effect. The swirling, interlaced metal designs are decorated with peacock blue and green enameling and semi-precious stones.

The Celtic influence on Liberty pieces is unmistakable, as are the Arts and Crafts standards of workmanship.
