Vivienne Westwood

Celebrated fashion designer Vivienne Westwood started designing in 1971, using her shop on the King's Road, London, as a showcase for her ideas. Iconoclastic, she is perhaps best known for her association with late 1970's punk rock, bondage, and her witty reinterpretation of traditional British symbols. Most of her pieces are made of silver or gold-plated pewter decorated with clear Swarovski crystals and large faux pearls.

Bows, hearts, and emblems of royalty, such as crowns and orbs, are recurring motifs in Westwood's witty jewelry designs.
